Fellow – Valerie Gruest

Valerie Gruest is a Ph.D. candidate in the Media, Technology, and Society doctoral program at Northwestern. Her research focuses on the impact of internet technology on attitudes and behaviors, particularly in relation to body image issues and eating disorders. Valerie values the Writing Place as a vital resource for fostering camaraderie and support through the writing process. She believes that the opportunity to share work and discuss ideas is invaluable for growth as a writer. As a Writing Fellow, she is excited to support students on their writing journeys and learn about the amazing work happening across the Northwestern academic community.
