Fellow – Mian Chen


I am a seventh-year PhD Candidate in the History Department, studying modern Chinese history. My dissertation examines the institutionalization of Communist propaganda in twentieth-century China.  also write about the history of leftist cinemas, Hong Kong, and sexuality. My works have been published in Twentieth-Century China, Gender & History, and the Journal of Chinese Cinemas. I love working with writers from different disciplines and departments and am happy to help writers develop different forms of projects, from term papers to journal articles, from proposals to dissertations.
