Diana Funez (she/her) is a PhD Candidate in the Screen Cultures Program. Her dissertation centers on damaged, malfunctioning, and otherwise “obsolete” home media technologies, closely analyzing the layers of memories that gradually accrue on video collections as they grow old. Invested in interdisciplinary methodologies and the beauty of mundane, incremental processes, she is excited by the opportunity to collaborate with peers across all different fields and at all stages of writing as a Writing Fellow this year.
