I am a PhD Candidate in Art History and a member of the Medieval Studies Cluster. I investigate the representation of cities in fourteenth-century Italy and the role these images played in shaping conceptions of civic identity. Before coming to Northwestern, I worked at the Weisman Art Museum in Minneapolis, and I am interested in writing for museum visitors and the general public as well as academic audiences. At the Writing Place, I am excited to work with fellow graduate students on writing projects in a variety of disciplines and for diverse audiences.
