Fellow – Alex Keith

I am a fifth year PhD Candidate in the History Department, studying Black American and Black British histories. My dissertation explores how Black women created theater organizations to cultivate parallel visions of racial freedom in Chicago and London. Using interdisciplinary methodologies, I focus on how Black women engaged questions of race, discrimination, and diaspora through theater and performance. As a Graduate Writing Fellow, I look forward to working with peers from various disciplines and chatting about the process of writing.
