Hello! My name is Andre Louis Rocker. I am a junior from Massachusetts majoring in Political Science and Philosophy. As a consultant at the Writing Place, I’m looking forward to instilling confidence in writers on campus. Each session will be unique—some students will want help developing better arguments while others will need an extra hand deconstructing a prompt. At the end of each session, though, I hope students better understand their own voice and move forward with less angst when they come across the next essay they have to write, the next cover letter they have to send, or the next speech they have to give. When not at the Writing Place, I am either enjoying class, training on the mat as a wrestler for Northwestern, or laughing with friends. I am also on the writing team for Northwestern’s Black Pre-Law Association and plan to attend law school after I graduate.
