I am a sixth year PhD Candidate in the History Department, studying Modern British History. My dissertation research focuses on British media entrepreneurship from the mid-nineteenth to the mid-twentieth centuries, and the effect of British media export on overseas markets in Australia. My research uses a highly interdisciplinary methodology, applying business history methods to the study of literature, theatre, newspaper, and television production. At Northwestern, I have previously convened the Long Nineteenth Century Colloquium and organized the European Dissertators’ Workshop in the History Department. I love working across disciplines and departments, and bring my experience writing for several audiences to help others at the Writing Center.
